02/16/2025 CELEBRATING VICTORIES
Day 1: Seeking God's Direction
Devotional
In our rush to make things happen, we often forget the most crucial first step: seeking God's direction. Like a traveler setting out without a map, moving forward without divine guidance can lead us astray. God desires to guide us, but we must first pause, pray, and listen. This might seem counterintuitive in our 'move fast and break things' culture, but God's timing and wisdom surpass our human understanding. When we seek His direction first, we position ourselves for genuine victory - not just temporary success.
Bible Verse
"And the Lord said to Joshua, 'Do not fear and do not be dismayed. Take all the fighting men with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, and his people, his city, and his land.'" - Joshua 8:1-2
Reflection Question
What area of your life are you rushing to fix without first seeking God's direction?
Quote: Too often we move too fast. Too often we are like, hey, you know, we're seeing it happen in our country right now. We see him, you know, move fast and break things is what we're hearing, right? Move fast and break things. See, that is not how it works in God's world. God's world is. No, no. Pray about it and move in a direction. Make a plan.
Prayer
Lord, help me slow down and seek Your guidance before taking action. Give me patience to wait for Your direction and wisdom to recognize it when it comes. Amen.
Day 2: Making Bold Requests
Devotional
God isn't intimidated by big requests. In fact, He invites us to ask boldly, showing our trust in His unlimited power and resources. When we make significant requests of our big God, we demonstrate faith in His ability to do what seems impossible to us. This isn't about testing God; it's about trusting Him enough to bring our biggest dreams and deepest needs before His throne. Remember, the same God who created the universe cares about your individual needs and desires.
Bible Verse
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens... a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace." - Ecclesiastes 3:8
Reflection Question
What big request have you been hesitant to bring before God, and why?
Quote: A victory worth celebrating follows making a big ask of a big God.
Prayer
Father, give me the courage to bring my biggest dreams and deepest needs before You. Help me trust in Your power and goodness. Amen.
Day 3: Recognizing Daily Miracles
Devotional
Sometimes we're so focused on waiting for big miracles that we miss the daily ones right in front of us. Each new day is a gift, each breath a blessing, and each moment an opportunity to experience God's grace. The simple ability to wake up, to think, to move, to love - these are all miracles worth celebrating. When we begin to recognize these daily blessings, our perspective shifts from what we lack to what we have, from scarcity to abundance.
Bible Verse
"Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." - Psalms 118
Reflection Question
What three 'small' blessings in your life could you start celebrating today?
Quote: For some of us, waking up today was a miracle. Some of us, you just put your feet on the floor today. That was a miracle.
Prayer
Thank you, God, for the daily miracles I often take for granted. Open my eyes to see Your hand in the ordinary moments of my life. Amen.
Day 4: Living in Obedience
Devotional
True victory isn't just about achieving success; it's about walking in obedience to God. When we align our lives with His will, we position ourselves to experience and celebrate authentic victories. These victories might not always look like what the world considers successful, but they carry eternal significance. Living in obedience means making choices that honor God, even when they're difficult or unpopular.
Bible Verse
"See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse - the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today." - Deuteronomy 11:26-32
Reflection Question
In what area of your life is God calling you to deeper obedience?
Quote: God given victories are celebrated only on the side of obedience.
Prayer
Lord, give me the strength to choose obedience, even when it's difficult. Help me find joy in following Your ways. Amen.
Day 5: Sharing Your Victory Story
Devotional
Our victories aren't meant to be kept to ourselves. When God works in our lives, it becomes an opportunity to share His goodness with others. Whether it's a major breakthrough or a small blessing, sharing our stories can encourage fellow believers and intrigue non-believers. Your testimony of God's faithfulness might be exactly what someone else needs to hear to take their next step of faith.
Bible Verse
"Then they went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it." - Acts 5
Reflection Question
What victory has God given you that you could share with someone this week?
Quote: When was the last time you celebrated what God was doing in your life with somebody who's a non believer?
Prayer
Father, give me courage to share the story of Your faithfulness in my life. Use my testimony to draw others closer to You. Amen.
